Thank you to all who participated in the survey below. Click here for the results and accompanying letter that was sent to every MPP and party leader in Ontario.
DEAR LBMAO MEMBER:
June 7, 2018 is the scheduled date for the next provincial election. The LBMAO Board of Directors have initiated a survey of our members to ask their input on how they would direct an incoming government to manage the provincial economy and services.
As business owners and managers, we all recognize that decisions made by the incumbent party, if in a majority position, can affect our day to day operations and profitability of our businesses. We all need to be engaged in the process to ensure responsible government.
The purpose of the survey is to collect data from our members on what we feel are the priorities in the management of our provincial government. Based on the information collected, we will communicate to each of the party leaders a background of the association (who we are and who we represent) and our suggestions on the areas the incoming government should focus on.
We will also produce a template letter so that each member company can communicate to their local MPP, as they have considerable influence on development of the party’s platform. We are starting the process in advance of the scheduled election date recognizing that the current government could call for an early election.
Your voice matters! We live in a democracy and you need to be involved to influence change!
We have tried to cover topics that have an impact on your costs of running your businesses as well as the provincial debt load on taxpayers including your employees.
The survey can be filled in, scanned and emailed or printed off and faxed to our office. We ask that you complete and return the survey no later than January 30, 2018.
David W. Campbell
LBMAO President
