Employment in February decreased by 2,300 from January. The unemployment rate was 7.3%, up from 7.2% in January. Construction employment was up 2.5% from January and manufacturing employment increased 0.4% from a month earlier. In February, employment stood at just over 18.0 million, up 0.7% from February 2015. Full-time employment fell by 51,800 from January, while part-time employment increased by 49,500 from the previous month. Excluding the automotive sector, wholesale sales were up 1.2% from December 2014. In terms of volume, wholesale sales were up 1.8% in December from November.
