                                                     LBMAO Chair of the Board
                                                     Wood Works of Renfrew, Renfrew

ey everyone! Glad to be back here at my desk, writing to you And with regards to the LBMAO, our regular training seminars
Hall once again. Truthfully it is a little bittersweet, as myself, and golf tournaments continue to be a hit, so thank you so
my family and my staff have been going through a tough couple much to all who take advantage of these as they are a lot of
of months which is why I wasn’t able to contribute to the last work to put together! Be sure to check out our website or reach
issue. In March my stepfather Bruce passed away, who was also out to the office for details on the remaining tournaments,
co-owner of our stores along with my mom. So, both personally other events, and the fall training sessions. In addition to our
and professionally, it has been extremely difficult for all of us. customary selection of training programs, we are also working
But I want to send my sincerest thanks to everyone for their on adding a virtual Social Media training seminar for the fall
continued support. Once again, we have been blown away by which is very exciting. And the team are also hard at work
the sense of community within this industry, and honestly, we putting together another in-person AGM for November so please
couldn’t have gotten through this without you. To our Castle keep your eyes peeled for more on that as we get closer. It will
Family at head office and our fellow members across the country, be so exciting for me to be able to get back out and see some
as well as the LBMAO staff and my fellow board members, you more of you in person again!
have all been overwhelmingly supportive and instrumental in Not too much else to report on my end as I get back into the
our ability to navigate things and I cannot thank you enough. swing of things here, but please do not hesitate to reach out
People from this industry travelled from far and wide to attend should I be able to help you with anything and thank again to
Bruce’s Celebration of Life and support us all, and those gestures everyone!
will never be forgotten. As tough as it is to talk about (I wasn’t
even sure whether or not to mention it here), Bruce was so proud Cheers,
of our stores and so we continue forward down the path he set Rebecca
        forth for us.
Personally, I was back to work in the office fulltime the end
of July after finishing my maternity leave and finally having
secured childcare – I’m sure fellow parents with young children
can appreciate that struggle! And while a lot of things may
look and feel different upon my return, I am also comforted by
the constants – our incredible staff and customers. We are so
fortunate and grateful for each and every one of them. A lot of
the projects we started undergoing before I went off, such as our
flagship Monarch Homes and Design Program, are starting to get
some traction which is really exciting!
