over the scenic roads towards
Kemptville where we took the
opportunity to visit Kemptville
Building Centre, a RONA
member. Eric Norenberg
graciously let us wander this
well merchandised store that
offers a full inventory of home
improvement products as well
as a nicely appointed furniture
store. This community is well
served by these folks at the
RONA store; and the busy
parking lot and traffic in the
store certainly reflected the
support of their customers.
This turned out to be a
wonderfully warm summer
day and the leisurely cruise to
the next stop at Fines HHBC
in Ingleside was uneventful
- except one of our bikers
missed the next stop and
lunch due to a miscalculation.
Yes, technology today is
wonderful when it works
and the GPS helped us as a
backup. With a group of this
size it is easy to get spread
apart and miss turns, so we
ensured that all had maps and
phone numbers. Scott Fines
and his team hosted a great
lunch of pulled pork on a bun
which was cooked on their
Traeger BBQ by the Traeger
representative. A great meal
and an opportunity to have
a look at their conversion -
from a hardware store to a full
building supply and hardware
outlet. The Fines are well
experienced in the business
and Scott has embraced the
family tradition of owning and
managing a building supply
business. We thank them for
their generous hospitality!
