weather was fantastic.
Our last stop of the day was Woodstock
Home Hardware Building Centre owned by
Adam Moulton. Adam owns four HHBCs –
Barrie, Ingersoll and his newest acquisition
in Strathroy. When I had contacted Adam and
suggested we start our tour in Ingersoll he
immediately suggested that we should end
our tour in his newly renovated Woodstock
store. I can understand why! The store
demonstrates the newest merchandising
programs offered by Home Hardware; and
Adam and the entire staff showed pride
of accomplishment in this well-appointed
building centre, hardware and seasonal retail
outlet that will service the community of
Woodstock for many years to come.
We ended the ride back at the Elmhurst
Inn and enjoyed a scrumptious dinner in one
of their private dining rooms. I can understand
why they put us in a private room as the group
reminisced boisterously about all the fun we
had on this trip.
I want to thank the owners and staff at
all the stores we visited who welcomed us
with generous travel packages - water, pop
and treats to consume on the ride. It was a
warm and pleasant day and everyone on the
trip expressed an interest in next year’s ride.
Discussion during the evening focused on
other areas of the province to tour, so stay
tuned for an announcement early in the year
for the 2023 “Cool Car and Motorcycle Ride”.
