The business was established in
his basement workshop and in 1987,
when Iain recognized a need in the
southwestern Ontario marketplace for a
source of cabinet hardware to the retail
and cabinet installers, he opened a small
distribution warehouse. Iain established
the goals of the company to supply
cabinet design, manufacturing processes,
plant design and inventory management
to ensure they met and exceeded their
customers’ expectations.
The company now operates out of a
105,000 sq. ft. facility in London Ontario
where cabinet assembly, warehousing
and shipping of cabinets and hardware
are facilitated. The warehouse is
impressive for its cleanliness and
efficiencies (assembly of one cabinet
every 2 minutes) to ensure their
customers receive their orders when they
expect them.
The building supply retailers are a
focus of this company and, Iain likes to
point out, a retailer can achieve up to
24 turns on a stocking cabinet program
and with good margins! Specializing in
a stocking cabinet program backed up
with customized orders, this company
achieves a 99% fill rate delivered
efficiently on their own trucks. The
cabinets are functional and supplied with
quality European hardware. As well, they
can fulfill their customers’ needs with
decorative hardware and accessories.
